Lieutenant colonel

Endomines Oy, located in Ilomantsi, is seeking a Lieutenant Colonel for their team. This role involves overseeing the production and precision drilling of bedrock in accordance with drilling schemes and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a background in mining or related technology, experience in open pit drilling, a strong safety record, and proficiency in Finnish. The position offers a stable and responsible job in a growing mining company committed to sustainability and occupational safety. Accommodation assistance is provided, and the company offers a modern vehicle fleet. The primary duties include daily equipment maintenance, consumable replacement, and minor technical fault repair. The work schedule is 12-hour day/night shift, week of work, week off.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production and precision drilling of bedrock in accordance with drilling schemes and quality standards.
• Day-to-day maintenance of equipment (daily inspections, checks of grease and fluid levels prior to shift start).
• Replacement of consumables (monitoring of crowns, necks and rods and self-replacement and maintenance on site).
• Self-detection and repair of minor technical faults and electrical/hydraulic problems. Reporting more serious failures to maintenance.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and economical extraction of rock for subsequent stages.
