We are looking for an Emergency Operator at Länsi-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue in Espoo. This role involves providing critical support to our customers' independent and safe living environments, ensuring prompt response times around the clock. You will collaborate with other experts in wellness, manage security alarms, coordinate emergency services, and continuously improve the service through continuous development of the security assistance program. The position requires excellent communication skills, quick assessment abilities, knowledge of health and social care legislation, and proficiency in using new systems or learning them efficiently. A background check is required due to working with elderly individuals, as well as a vaccination certificate and tuberculosis report.

  • First aid (AMK), i.e. Nurse AMK + continuing education in first aid.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Finnish and Swedish.

  • Quick and accurate assessment of the customer's situation and need for help based on alarm information and conversation.
  • Independent decision-making ability based on common operating models and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the on-call and emergency center operations of the health and social services sector and key social and health care legislation.

Responsibilities

This opportunity is for motivated, responsible individuals eager to learn and thrive in a team-oriented environment, who possess the qualities mentioned below:

  • Receive alarms via the alarm center system, contact customers, find out causes of alarms and assess customer's need for care.
  • Forward security assistance tasks to personnel making home visits, mobile hospitals or first aid, coordinate services delivered to customers.
