We are seeking a Head of Department for the Department of Psychiatry at Varsinais-Suomen Hyvinvointialue in Turku. This position, combined with the District Director for Outpatient Disorder, will lead and develop outpatient treatment of mood disorders at the hospital. The department's chief practitioner will be a leading expert and developer in adult outpatient treatment of mood disorders, aiming to increase health benefits, strengthen quality of care, and harmonise policies in different localities. The post will involve managing and developing the evaluation, treatment, and service processes of adult mood disorders, as well as strengthening evidence-based management practices, research cooperation, and knowledge-based management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop outpatient care in Turku, Salo, Loimaa, and Uusimaa, and until 2029 in the working groups of Raisio, Liedo, and Kaarina.
  • Manage and develop the evaluation, treatment, and service processes of adult mood disorders.
  • Develop evidence-based management practices, research cooperation, and knowledge-based management in the Western Finland cooperation area.
  • Participate in regional and national cooperation to develop the treatment of mood disorders.
  • Develop patient service paths and patient orientation together with other service providers.
