The acute department of child psychiatry offers round-the-clock child psychiatric evaluation and treatment for children under the age of 13 who are suspected or diagnosed with a serious mental health disorder. The department is responsible for monitoring and involuntary treatment in accordance with the Mental Health Act in the HUS area.
