Firmware Engineer

Firmware Engineer at Casambi Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland: We are seeking an experienced Firmware Developer to join our engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware for wireless products based on Nordic Semiconductor SoCs. Responsibilities include implementing and optimizing communication protocols, contributing to device provisioning, and collaborating with hardware, mobile, cloud, backend, QA, and product teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional embedded software or firmware development experience, strong C/C++ programming skills, and experience with Nordic Semiconductor development platforms and SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for wireless products based on Nordic Semiconductor SoCs.
• Develop software using Nordic SDKs, including nRF Connect SDK and Zephyr-based solutions.
• Implement and maintain Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Bluetooth Mesh, and other wireless communication technologies.
• Develop and optimize communication protocols between embedded devices, mobile applications, gateways, and cloud services.
• Participate in architecture, design reviews, code reviews, testing, and debugging activities.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across hardware, firmware, wireless communication, and system integrations.
